We're thrilled to announce the release of our first Zebra Dots video for the single "Walking On A Chance"! It was shot in Belgrade, Serbia and is a symbolic representation of our music creation process. The star of the video is the 9-year-old Feđa Miladinović who walks through Belgrade collecting pieces of the Zebra Dots influence and musical character.
Here are a few words from our director/producer Jovan Vladimir Borka on what's going on in the video:
"The original concept for the video was symbolical, and kind of poetic vision of band’s music: combination of various music genres, instruments and sounds - translated into visuals, gave us disco ball, guitar, gramophone, etc, as a starting point. Having in mind that this is Band’s first video, I saw appropriate to develop this into a process video (The Boy is collecting/gathering music items) just as every band assembles itself (Band’s process).
The trade, in the final scene, is not to be understood as a simple (market) trade of goods, but as a symbolic act – collected musical items represent the Band itself, and CD is a product of their process (making music). Since the whole story is a bit unrealistic, we planed to make items (that Boy collects) colorful – to paint them in colors that match the ones on clothes that band members will be wearing in the final scene."
We hope you like it as much as we do! Be sure to visit our Facebook page and let us know what you think, and if you haven't heard the rest of the album yet... what are you waiting for?!
